Mel our operations director can remember the growth of the company from when she started over 5 years ago:
"It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly five years since I first joined Boxmove! My very first day was quite literally all about packing boxes and moving into our humble little office in Eccles. I still remember Alex R sitting cross-legged on the floor in front of a computer screen that beeped every time a job was completed. Back then, we had just five or six vans, and maybe a dozen drivers at most.
From the get-go, I threw myself into a bit of everything. It wasn’t long before the jobs started flooding in—and so did the growth. Those five vans quickly turned into ten, then twelve, and just kept multiplying.
I’ll never forget the buzz of a takeover day. We’d gather to watch a van head off into a brand-new area, marking the start of a new chapter. Now, new enquiries roll in daily, and adding fresh territory to the map has become just another part of our daily rhythm.
We’ve grown fast - very fast - and we’re still growing. What started as a small, scrappy operation has become something much bigger, with a fantastic team behind it and a bright future ahead."
Fast forward to today, and Boxmove is setting a new standard for how charities operate, the platform has grown rapidly but its foundation is still the same: two friends with a hands-on mindset and a vision for something better.
